I love that it is not perfectly rigid and square because then they would be too formal and I would not be able to wear them with casual outfits. It’s clear that M.Gemi crafted these with both form and function in mind.
Feel: High-Quality Materials and All-Day Comfort
The first thing you’ll notice when you touch the flats is the materials. The upper leather is buttery soft to the touch. Additionally, look at that stitching! So well-made. The insole is a rich black, which looks incredibly luxe while adding an aesthetic contrast. It is also buttery smooth. The outsole is designed with a balance of flexibility and sturdiness. While the sole under the front of the shoe doesn’t feel like it has too much friction at first, I expect this will provide better grip with wear.
Once I slipped these on, the comfort factor truly stood out. Unlike many flats that pinch or tug at your feet, these M.Gemi flats felt instantly comfortable. The soft leather molds to your foot, and the thin cushion in the sole provides just enough padding so you don’t feel like you’re walking on concrete. What I love most is how the circular piece under the heel offers extra friction, making these flats great for all-day wear.

Sizing: True to Size (TTS)
I’m usually a 7.5, and I ordered a size 38 in these flats, which fit perfectly—true to size (TTS). To double-check the fit, I had my mom, who is usually an 8 or 8.5 in European brands, try them on. While she found the width comfortable, the length was a little tight, confirming that these flats run TTS based on our usual sizing. I’m ordering the black for her in 8.0 once they restock!

At first, these flats might seem like a splurge, but let’s break it down: wearing them once a week during one quarter (roughly 13 weeks) brings the cost-per-wear to about $19. If you wear them multiple times a week that’ll bring it down to even less! Now, compare that to a cheaper $50 pair of flats, which might seem like a bargain at first. But after a couple of uncomfortable wears, you realize they’re just not cutting it. The soles wear out, they start hurting your feet, or the material gets nicked after brushing up against something.
Beyond just the financial aspect, think about the time and waste involved. If you buy a cheap pair, you’ll likely find yourself back in the same cycle of researching and purchasing shoes again sooner than later.
